One of the four main “pillars” of the Roddenberry Foundation’s mission is “to protect and preserve the environment.” So when the foundation set out to build a new headquarters building, it’s no surprise that it set the bar high with a goal of LEED certification. With a large solar array on the roof, a charging station for electric vehicles, and a host of other innovative sustainability features, the Roddenberry Beck Building achieved LEED NC Gold certification.
